    Turned my Peugeot’s “Christmas tree dashboard” back into a car

    With Christmas just around the corner, my Peugeot 2008 decided to get into the festive spirit early — by lighting up the dashboard like a full-on Christmas tree ???????? Warning lights everywhere. My local garage diagnosed a rear ABS communication issue but, understandably, suggested I go to a Peugeot main dealer as it involved electronics. The nearest dealer in my town (Hendy) had online bookings… in February 2026 ???? Unfortunately my MOT is in January, so that was a guaranteed fail. On Saturday morning, 13 Dec, I rang Stellantis Maidstone fully expecting no one to answer. To my surprise, someone picked up! I was told diagnostics would normally be late January, but after explaining my situation, the staff member kindly checked other options and asked if I could get to Walton. Miracle moment: 16 Dec had just become available due to a cancellation. It’s nearly 1.5 hours from my home — but of course I said YES immediately. On 16 Dec, I dropped the car off at Stellantis &You Walton smoothly. By 5pm, I received a clear diagnosis: 1. Rear ABS wiring harness fault 2. Brake fluid contaminated Even better — parts were in stock and could be fixed the next day. I left the car there and took the train home. On the morning of 18 Dec, I got the call every car owner wants: “Your car is ready.” When I collected it, the car was fully cleaned, repaired, and honestly felt like new again — happier than Christmas came early ???? Throughout the whole process I received regular updates, everything was explained clearly, and the turnaround speed was incredible. From my first phone call on 13 Dec to collecting the car on Thursday, it took just 6 days. That’s outstanding service. Huge thanks to all the staff at Stellantis &You Walton — professional, efficient, and genuinely helpful. If there were 6 stars, I’d give 6 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I’ll definitely return for future servicing — even though I still have a soft spot for Walton ???? Merry Christmas to everyone at Stellantis! ????✨
