PEUGEOT has unveiled the new E-RIFTER, a feature packed vehicle which takes electrification and efficiency to the next stage while also maximising leasure.
PEUGEOT’s is aiming to become the leading brand in the electric market by 2025. With the introduction of the new PEUGEOT E-RIFTER, Peugeot takes another step toward that goal, adding to the broadest all-electric vehicle range of any European manufacturer, featuring nine passenger cars and three light commercial vehicles.
The new E-RIFTER represents another step toward electrification, with a range of up to 199 miles, while retaining the qualities that have made this multipurpose leisure vehicle such a success, including a comfortable, spacious and modular passenger compartment, a high level of technology, and an attractive exterior design.
ALLURE: designed for adventure
The new PEUGEOT E-RIFTER has the brand’s new and updated features inside and out, combining a tough but sleek outside with a comfortable and welcoming inside.
The new E-RIFTER is a varied and adaptable machine, reflecting the diversity and modernity of its customers, capable of handling a wide variety of different needs, while simultaneously providing the ideal comfort and space inside.
The new E-RIFTER has a completely updated front, with a new radiator grille featuring the PEUGEOT shield, a modernised front bumper, and new headlights featuring the brand's iconic three-claw light signature.
The E-RIFTER’s dynamic styling is heightened by the new Sirkka Green and Kiama Blue colours, which complement the vehicle’s distinctive silhouette, its broad wheel arches, stylish roof bars, and high ground clearance.

The new PEUGEOT E-RIFTER’s improved lineup of technology and its incredibly adaptable interior deliver the ideal safe driving experience.
Within, the E-RIFTER boasts an all-new ergonomic dashboard equipped with the PEUGEOT i-Cockpit®, available with a new 10-inch HD central touchscreen. The seats are upholstered with a new light grey fabric that forms an inviting interior that’s adorned with numerous storage compartments, ensuring and bright and effective space.
The E-RIFTER comes with a new leather-covered heated steering wheel, that sports integrated controls that allow the operation of the multimedia system and driver assistance systems, ensuring the driver has better focus on the driving experience.
The new E-RIFTER features an varied array of driver safety technologies, including driver drowsiness alert, lane keep assist, and automatic emergency braking. The 18 driver assistance systems also feature among them automatic speed sign recognition and adaptive cruise control, and an improved parking assistance array built from 12 sensors and a 180-degree HD reversing camera.
The E-RIFTER is available with two wheelbase lengths, Standard (4.4m) and Long (4.7m), with either 5 or 7 individual folding seats respectively. The E-RIFTER’s sliding side doors and large rear tailgate allow the vehicle to be loaded and unloaded easily, with an opening window that is standard on GT versions and is unique to vehicles within the segment.
The creative under-floor placement of the batteries doesn't compromise on loading space, with the 5-seat Standard version offering 775 litres of boot space under the parcel shelf, and the Long version providing up to 4,000 litres up to the ceiling with all the seats folded down.
EXCELLENCE: efficient and connected
To meet the needs of families and adventurers, the E-RIFTER comes with a useable 50kWh battery(52kWh gross) paired with an electric motor producing 136hp and 260Nm of torque. The useable 50kWh battery now offers an enhanced range of up to 199 miles (WLTP combined cycle currently being certified), making it perfect for long journeys, and travelling through cities with low-emissions zones.
The new E-RIFTER comes equipped with a regenerative braking system with a choice of 3 different regeneration levels which can be selected using some paddles behind the steering wheel. Drivers can choose three driving modes: Eco, for ideal range, Power, for bringing out the best performance from the vehicle, and Normal, for versatile use. The E-RIFTER is also now equipped with a heat pump, coming as standard, which improves passenger comfort as well as all-electric range.
The new E-RIFTER is fitted with a 7.4kW onboard charger (with an 11 kW three-phase charger available as an option) and is able to of charge up to 100kW on a DC rapid charger. Charging times are as follows:
- 100Kw DC Charger: 30 minutes (recharge from 0 to 80%)
- 11kW AC wallbox charger: fully recharge in 5 hours
- 7.4kW AC wallbox charger: full charge in 7 hours 30 minutes
The E-RIFTER contains a central 10-inch HD touchscreen as standard that controls the multimedia system and the TomTom® 3D connected navigation. It is also equipped with the ‘OK PEUGEOT’ intelligent voice assistant and can receive updates ‘over the air’. This interface improves the ease of use of the latest generation of PEUGEOT i-Connect and PEUGEOT i-Connect Advanced infotainment systems. Smartphone connectivity comes via MirrorScreen technology, including wireless Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto, while a wireless smartphone charger is located on the centre console.
For improved versatility and connectivity, the E-RIFTER comes with more sockets, with two USB-C, one USB-A and a 230V socket.
Using the MYPEUGEOT® smartphone app, riders can benefit from additional features and connected services. This includes access to a virtual maintenance log and the ability to send destinations to the onboard navigation system remotely. Drivers can now also toggle door central locking and activate the headlights and horns remotely.
To enhance the EV ownership experience, the MYPEUGEOT® app also allows drivers to initiate or schedule thermal pre-conditioning and view, schedule, start or defer charging remotely.
