Over summer, Citroën Ami 100% Electric toured the UK, visiting many well-known landmarks and providing the opportunity for members of the public to involve themselves, take pictures, and see Ami in their own city.
To celebrate each of the locations, seven Ami prize vehicles were covered with bespoke designs by Jenni Sparks that feature local landmarks and the host city's unique cityscape. Citroën Ami underpins a core philosophy of the Citroën brand, making electric mobility affordable for all.
Citroën Ami x London
Citroën Ami began its tour of the UK in London on 18th August 2023. 9 Ami's gained much attention around the Captial around iconic landmarks like Big Ben and Trafalgar Square.
7 city-wrapped Citroën Ami's then arrived in Leicester Square where menbers of the public were able to enter a competition for a chance to win the London-wrapped Ami, as well as take plenty of photos.
Citroën Ami x Bristol
After London, the fleet of Citroën Ami’s arrived in Bristol, the second location on the tour. The day began with 9 Ami’s gliding around the city before parking up at Queen Square, where the 7 specially designed Ami’s were on full display.
Excitement grew as people entered the competition for a chance to win the Bristol-wrapped Ami. On top of this, passenger rides were available in a one-off Gold Chrome or Camouflage-wrapped Ami, allowing passers by to experience the one-of-a-kind electric quadricycle for themselves.
Citroën Ami x Cardiff
Arriving at their 3rd city, with 4 more to go, the Citroën Ami fleet delighted people as it arrived in Cardiff as they descended on the Welsh city.
With the 7 city-wrapped Ami’s available to be interacted with in the city centre, passers by had the opportunity to discover more about the 100% electric Citroën quadricycle and enter their competition for a chance to win an exclusive Cardiff-wrapped Ami!
Citroën Ami x Manchester
Manchester was the 4th city along the Ami tour, arriving during the city's Pride celebrations!
The highlights reel captures the joy Citroën Ami brought to the city and brought out of the passers by. Multiple Citroën Ami’s roamed the city centre before all 7 city-wrapped Ami’s came together to be put on display at Piccadilly Gardens.
Citroën Ami x Liverpool
The Ami convoy arrived in Liverpool, the 5th city on the grand UK Tour!
The journey started with a smooth drive through Royal Albert Docks and Liverpool City centre thanks to the comfortable drive offered by Ami's electric functionality. Then they set up base in Church Street, where the fleet of custom Ami’s turned plenty of heads just as they did in the other cities.
Citroën Ami x Newcastle
Friday came around and Citroën Ami spent it in Newcastle, just not how you expect it! Once again, an Ami convoy took a spin around the heart of the city, but this time, they cruised across the Tyne Bridge and around the iconic St. James Park.
The city-wrapped Ami’s then arrived on Northumberland Street where the enthusiastic locals could try sitting within an Ami, capture all the pics and emotions, and enter their city's competition!
Citroën Ami x Edinburgh
For the great finale, on 4th September, Ami made its way around the last city on it’s UK Tour, the historic Scottish capital of Edinburgh.
For the last time, a fleet of 9 Citroën Ami’s arrived in a convoy, cruising around landmarks such as the Royal Mile, Newhaven Harbour and St. Giles’ Cathedral. The city-wrapped unique Ami’s then gracefully arrived at Castle Street, inviting the public to participate in our competition for a chance to win their exclusive Edinburgh-themed Ami.
A combo of blissful sunshine and the breath-taking backdrop of Castle Street meant people got to see the Ami’s in all their glory. The perfect end to an epic 7-city tour!
