Gold wrapped Citroën Ami takes on London supercar scene

A gold wrapped Citroën Ami 100% Electric has been turning heads in London as it parks alongside some of the most expensive supercars in the world, attracting some attention. The one-off gold Ami 100% electric is joining the nationwide #AmiOnTour from the 18th August, as part of a competition* to win one of the Ami vehicles on tour in London, Bristol, Cardiff, Manchester, Liverpool, Newcastle, and Edinburgh.

Citroën Ami 100% Electric went up against some of the world’s most popular and famous supercars in London recently, with a pastiche interpretation of the ‘Perfect Supercar for the City’. Wrapped in gold chrome, Ami 100% Electric had onlookers wherever it went, and proved hugely popular as it mingled with a selection of the most well established names in the world of supercars.

The unique Ami visited the main attractions across the London supercar scene to try to attract the most attention. It visited Knightsbridge, New Bond Street, Mayfair, and Park Lane – with Ami proving to be more popular than any of the exotic cars on show, delighting those that saw it, who couldn't help but take a photo.

As Ultra Low Emissions Zones, Clean Air Zones, and other emissions-reducing schemes become more common across the UK, Ami offers an opportunity for accessible zero-emissions transport across urban environments. Ami represents a monumental breakthrough from Citroën – a daring challenge to the problems faced within today’s congested cities.

A fully electric mobility solution, Ami emits zero emissions in use, utilizing a 5.4kWh battery that recharges in just four hours. With a range of 46 miles (WMTC**), and a top speed of 28mph, Ami 100% Electric is a modern, innovative creation that delivers Citroën’s pledge to deliver affordable and clean mobility solutions for all.

#AmiOnTour will see Ami 100% Electric visit popular locations within each city with the chance for members of the public to be involved, take photos, and see Ami in their own city. To celebrate each host city, the prize Ami vehicles will be covered with designs created bespoke for them by Jenni Sparks, featuring local landmarks and each unique cityscape of the city each Ami represents.
