The Vauxhall Corsa finished 2022 as the UK’s top-selling supermini and second best-selling car overall, topping the overall sales charts in 2021. It is also the best-selling car in its area so far this year, while the Corsa Electric is the best-selling Small Electric Car (Electric B-Hatch), according to the latest SMMT figures. The New Corsa will look to further Vauxhall's successes as the brand moves closer towards becoming an electric-only manufacturer from 2028.

Vauxhall Vizor

The New Corsa becomes the final model in Vauxhall’s passenger car range to take on the distinctive Vizor front end - a single smooth panel that sits between the LED headlights, housing advanced Vauxhall driver aids and top of the line safety technologies, holding the iconic Griffin logo at the centre.

Other styling updates include 17-inch black alloy wheels, as well as black roof, black badging and black Corsa lettering on GS and Ultimate models.

All Corsa models are by standard fitted with LED headlights. The Ultimate trim features Vauxhall’s IntelliLux LED® Pixel Matrix light technology, which automatically excludes other road users from the beam, ensuring drivers have a clear view of the road even in dark and poor conditions without dazzling other drivers.

Upgraded interior

On the interior, the New Corsa’s upgraded infotainment system includes a new 10-inch touchscreen featuring Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™, which can be conveniently and wirelessly accessed on the Electric models featuring the upgraded 156PS powertrain, as well as petrol GS and Ultimate variants. The Corsa Electric 156PS also allows for wireless phone charging, Vauxhall Connect, and Connected Navigation, with the latter also available on petrol Ultimate models.

Fitted on petrol Design models as standard is a 3.5-inch digital instrument cluster. This is upgraded to a 7-inch display on all other trims. On petrol GS, Ultimate and Electric 156PS models, the display also benefits from a new graphical interface.

In front of the instrument display, the New Corsa features an updated steering wheel design, while on GS varients and above come new front sports seats. These are finished in Alcantara® on Ultimate trim, which also adds heating and massage functions.

New Corsa Electric

New for Corsa Electric is Vauxhall’s next-generation 51kWh battery. This, in tandem with an upgraded electric motor that now produces 115kW (156PS), results in the New Corsa Electric delivering more performance whilst achieving 246 miles (WLTP) between charges.

From 3rd August, buyers will be able to choose between two powertrain options on the Corsa Electric, with the existing 100kW (136PS) powertrain remaining available, which achieves up to 222 miles between charges (WLTP). For the first time, this powertrain option will be available in Design trim as well as GS.

All New Corsa Electric models come with an 11kW on-board charger as standard, allowing you to complete a 0-100% charge in 5hrs and 15 minutes. The same full charge using a 7kW home wallbox is estimated to take 7hrs and 30 minutes. Supporting 100kW rapid charging, a typical 10%-80% charge will take just 30 minutes.

From launch, the New Corsa will also be available for purchase with a choice of highly efficient 1.2-litre petrol engines. Customers can choose from a naturally-aspirated 75PS engine paired with a five-speed manual gearbox, a turbocharged 100PS engine with a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic gearbox, or a 130PS unit available as an eight-speed automatic.

Available in late 2023, there will be a new 48-volt hybrid powertrain delivering improved efficiency without the need to plug the car in.
