How much difference does mileage make to car value?

Mileage contributes to car value depreciation alongside several other factors including reliability and service history.

Low mileage generally means that a car will have less wear and tear and will better retain its value as long as it has been routinely cared for, while key parts such as tyres and brake pads will last longer before needing to be replaced. High mileage, on the other hand, could affect your car value.

The latest statistics from the Department for Transport show the average mileage in the UK to be around 7,600 miles per year.

What happens after I value my car?

Following your vehicle valuation you can book an appointment to have your vehicle appraised by one of our expert sales advisors at a Stellantis &You DS dealership near you. You can then use this value to part-exchange your vehicle for a new or used vehicle from our outstanding line up.

Alternatively, if you're not looking to purchase a car, you can sell the vehicle to one of our Stellantis &You dealerships hassle-free thanks to our easy handover process.
