Citroën presents the C5 X Hypnos, the ultimate version of the C5 X that comes exclusively with Citroën’s Plug-in Hybrid 225 ë-EAT8 automatic powertrain. It embodies the best of Citroën with its bold design, distinctive style, and incredible comfort, all available in the new Eclipse Blue.
Citroën recently unveiled C5 X Hypnos, a new top-of-the-range version of C5 X showcasing the very best of the brand's style and their unwavering commitment to in-car well-being. The Hypnos provides customers with a serene on-board experience, offering a quiet and supremely relaxing drive. C5 X Hypnos is Citroën’s new flagship model, with each detail carefully modelled to embody style, calm, and serenity.
New C5 X Hypnos introduces the elegant new exterior body colour – Eclipse Blue – which is enhanced with ‘Infrared’ graphic elements. The interior features soothing new mood lighting and an airy ambience, along with bold colours and warm materials to create a relaxing atmosphere in the cabin.
A sense of occasion becomes apparent as soon as you step inside C5 X Hypnos, thanks to additions such as its panoramic glass sunroof, the quality HiFi system, and its bespoke Hypnos floor mats. The cabin is comfortable and full of room, with an atmosphere tailored to create an immediate feeling of serenity. New C5 X Hypnos boasts heated, massaging, and ventilated front seats with electric lumbar adjustment to ensure maximal comfort for their occupants. All on top of the active suspension system and Citroën’s Advanced Comfort® seat design, as well as the high-level acoustic performance with sound-insulated front and rear windows. All these features combine to create a unique sense of tranquility and well-being on-board.

HYPNOS – A NAME WITH SPECIAL MEANING
Hypnos – named for the Greek god of sleep – describes the car's incredible on-board comfort, providing complete peace of mind for all occupants. Each journey in C5 X Hypnos becomes a serene moment, which restores energy and leaves customers feeling more rested on arrival than they were when they set off.
As a name, Hypnos holds a special meaning within Citroën. At the 2008 Paris Motor Show, Citroën unveiled a hybrid concept car called Hypnos, a top-of-the-range car that pioneered in the development of hybrid vehicles. With the use of the Hypnos name, Citroën emphasises the contrast between the vehicle's interior and exterior, highlighting the contrast between light and dark. The exterior is a deep midnight blue, while the interior is bright and airy.
New Citroën C5 X Hypnos is available in the new Eclipse Blue body colour that changes appearance depending on the light, looking elegant in low light, and becoming more dynamic in brighter conditions. To stand out from the crowd, it has long, glossy black badges across the wings and front doors, highlighted with ‘Infrared’ detailing and, at their centre, featuring the Hypnos signature. At the rear, the C5 X monogram uses ‘Infrared’ to highlight the number 5. This provides contrast to the many customisation options available on the original Citroen C5 X, visible in the Stellantis &You Configurator.
The New C5 X Hypnos is also available with a Platinum Grey body colour.
New C5 X Hypnos comes with the existing 19-inch ‘Aero X’ alloy wheels – but in a new Hypnos specific colour. A combination of Onyx black and diamond effect, coated with a dark varnish. It also comes with an elegant black bi-tone roof.
Citroën’s attention to detail is highlighted by the design of the seats, which are upholstered in light-coloured perforated leather in Citroën’s iconic herringbone pattern. The armrests are upholstered in the same pale leather providing the seats an inviting and comfortable appearance. The upper section of the seats and the headrests are finished in grey Alcantara®. Labels have also been added with ‘Infrared’ highlights and the Hypnos name.
The warm interior is brightened with the use of Karuun® light wood-effect decorative touches on the door panels and dashboard. The centre console has a fresh, new look that keeps with the light and airy ambience. The glossy black décor has been laser-engraved with striations in a new Xenon bronze colour. New C5 X Hypnos comes with special floor mats, the contours of which are highlighted by a special material with branding featuring "Hypnos" in Xenon bronze.
From the Citroën Advanced Comfort® seats, offering soft and dynamic comfort, to the generous passenger space, every effort is made to create a truly relaxing experience. The Citroën C5 X Plug-in Hybrid 225 powertrain offers Advanced Comfort® active suspension as standard, with its ‘ultra-comfort’ setting providing driving pleasure thanks to active and continuous control of the suspension, ironing out the roughness of any road.
