The New Abarth 500e proves popular across Europe

There have been more than 1,500 pre-orders for the Scorpionissima launch edition of the Abarth 500e across Europe during the car's pre-booking phase. The New Abarth 500e is "More Abarth than EVer", and its new technology sets a new benchmark for electric vehicles, as it now tours through Europe.

After a strong debut in November, the fully electric New Abarth 500e is now electrifying Europe with a tour that traverses Italy, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, UK, Portugal, Spain, Austria, France, and Switzerland, journey of almost 9,000 kms.

The success of the New Abarth 500e has been confirmed with the online pre-booking of more than 1,500 Scorpionissima launch editions, with only a few hundred still available.  A great result for a car that represents one of the most exciting launches in the history of the brand, gaining an exciting new addition to its line-up.

With a combination of performance, electric power, style, and a powerful new sound, thanks to an innovative sound generator with the iconic Abarth roar, the new Scorpion converts advanced technology into adrenaline, and sustainability into performance.

Due to its electric focused architecture, alongside improved weight distribution, better torque, and a wider wheelbase, the New Abarth 500e is faster and more exciting in both urban and suburban driving. With best-in-class acceleration, no emissions, a fun driving experience, quick recharge, and unmistakably Italian design both in the interior and exterior it is, in short, more Abarth than EVer.

The European tour follows the reveal of the New Abarth 500e to around 150,000 members of the public at the Milan Games Week & Cartoomics, the biggest Italian event dedicated to video games, e-sports, and comics.  Through its in this event, the Scorpion brand consolidated its connection with the gaming world, further highlighted by the various initiatives launched in recent years, like the e-sport team.

The electric Scorpion then travelled across Europe including visiting the Brussels Motor Show, held every two years in Brussels, which saw more than 270,000 visitors over the course of nine days. Additionally, Abarth announced its local Spanish ambassador, Marc Gené, one of the most successful drivers in Spanish motorsports, winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans and Formula 1 professional with a career spanning over two decades.
